Corporate Banker Financial Institutions

The Financial Institutions Coverage sector in ABN AMRO is split into 3 teams, Banks, Non Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) and Financial Sponsors. We are looking to hire a corporate banker in both the Banks and NBFI teams, the roles will report directly to the head of the respective team. You manage a client portfolio aimed at enhancing relationships and boosting sales. This involves strategic account planning and coordinating origination activities.
Your job
You:
- Manage and own a client portfolio consisting of banks or NBFIs, handling daily follow-ups.
- Engage in a strategic dialogue at Treasury level and in some cases C-suit of the relevant Speed up and strengthen clients of the FI team
- Are in charge of the coordination of sales towards optimizing clients
- Identify and pro-actively act upon commercial opportunities, along with the wider FI team and in close cooperation with the relevant product partners (incl. Lending teams, markets, DCM, FX, rates, FI Sales and cash management, trade and guarantees)
- Are in charge of client documentation and regulatory and compliance requirements on Know Your Client
- Are in charge of creating an effective account strategy together with the CST, managing and maintaining account plans, drive operational / treasury level client relationships
- Ensure effective cooperation with relevant departments within the Bank, especially in terms of identifying potential risks, including Credit Risk, Market Risk and Operational Risk.

You have:
- Solid knowledge of overall banking, financing solutions, sector & sustainability developments (customers, characteristics, risks, compliance), business models, client business life cycles and market developments
- Knowledge of core, near & beyond banking propositions and (flow) products and services - able to translate client needs to ABN AMRO commercial opportunities
- Knowledge of current social and economic developments, as well as developments in its market area, industry and sector
- Knowledge of ABN AMRO's vision and strategy, the operating concepts, business processes, organization, products and service

Please note: your scale (Hay grade) will depend on your knowledge and work experience. The corporate banker roles on offer are targeting Hay 11 and Hay 12 grades.
